Göteborgsvarvet

Now it's over.
It felt okay. Nothing more. I was sore for two days.
It was great weather for running that day. My dad and I left home after my brothers.
We both started later. 15:32. Start group 15. The elite had already finished when we started.
It felt good when I ran, but it was very crowded. I had to zigzag to get through all the 21 km.
It took a lot of strength and sometimes I got "boxed in".
I took time and got 1 h, 42 min and 35 sek. My first reaction was disappointment. I ran 2 minutes faster the year I went on my mission. I felt more prepared and the only difference was that I started in a higher group this year.
So it is a difference to start in group 15 than 1B.

We had tacos for dinner after the race. Tasted good. :P
One funny thing. When I checked up my time on Göteborgsvarvets website I had exactly the same time as I had on my watch. 1 h, 42 min and 35 sek. See the picture.

Sunday was great as well.
The Young single adults in Göteborg had a missionary activity that day.
The missionaries in the wards in Göteborg were holding in it.
We got a talk from the April General Conference 2003 by Henry B Eyring. Great talk.
We did some role playing after that. Resolving concerns, listening and asking questions were the things we practiced.
It was like to do teacher training again. :)

I plan to go back to England in August. The activity made me miss my mission.

Take care!
See ya!

Running and music

Flag of Azerbaijan

I wrote this post a couple of days ago, but deleted it from my blogger app and it got deleted completely.
One lesson learn about the blogger app. I will do one more test with the app and the website, but then I do a test post, so I don't have to write a whole post again.
Well, well...

It has been some music this last week. You can probably figure out of the flag that I watched Eurovision Song Contest. Some Swedes was involved.
I didn't think Sweden would be in the top, but half way through the delivery of the points Sweden was in the lead. I started to hope that Sweden would get more points and hopefully win, but a third place was better than I thought before the competition.
Finland and Austria were some songs I liked. There were a lot of songs that were good this year. Some years can be awful.

I did some running as well.
I didn't run on Saturday as I wrote. Instead I took a bicycle and biked down to Ledets IP, where Lerkils IF play their football games. They play in Division 4 Halland Elite. Level 6 in the Swedish league system.
They played against Tölö IF, a team from Kungsbacka. So it was a community derby.
Lerkil was the best team and won 5-0.
I did some bike intervals. I pedal everything I could for some seconds, rested and did it again. My legs were very sore and tired after that. Was actually hard to bike the last bit home.

I ran on Monday evening as planned. We ran 1 km intervals on a 8 km round. My best kilometer was 4 min 7 sek. Would be under 1,5 h if I kept that tempo during Göteborgsvarvet.

I ran yesterday for the last time. Ran 3,2 km in 13,5 min.
Now I will rest until Saturday.

Tomorrow is da day!

See ya!

Sun viking!

Weekend and soon another week gone.
It started with a lecture on Monday and with running in the evening.
It was long intervals this time. The intervals went well. We run 3x1 km and 3 smaller rounds. Felt good.
An old man, at the club house, said to me: "You are Kim?". "We viewed your membership application yesterday and it got accepted.".
I got the payment information on Wednesday and is now, since Thursday, officially a Sun viking!

I had lectures Monday to Wednesday. The last two started 8 am. Had to go up earlier than I usually go up.
More book keeping and T-accounts drawing. I have to start no later than next week. Two whole weeks with practicing would be enough.

It has been a pretty chill week.
Watched Eurovision Song Contest semifinals. All the Nordic countries, except for Norway, went to the final now on Saturday. I like Finlands Paradise Oskar. It's a good song. I also hope it goes well for Eric Saade and Sweden.
I began my lawn mowing season yesterday, Thursday. Will cut grass for a neighbor for some months and in the entrance (approach) to our neighborhood.

Tomorrow is exactly a week to Göteborgsvarvet. Will run for the last time 10 km. Monday at Skatås and short intervals on Wednesday and rest to Saturday.

So long!

BTW. It's Friday 13. Someone who has had bad luck?

A week with a lot of activites

I have had something every day.
On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday I have had lectures at the Uni.
We are studying right now accounting and book-keeping. Some numbers to keep in the mind, but it will be easier when I have done some book-keeping exercises and learn how the formulas works.
We will have the exam 3th June about this. So about a month to go.

I have run twice this week. First on Tuesday at Skatås with the club.
They have same kind of trainings on Monday and Tuesday and four groups divided into these days. The beginner and intermediate group train on Monday and the competition and competition elite train on Tuesday.
I have trained with the intermediate group and tried the competition group this week. We did intervals. 600m, 500m, 400m and 300m with 0,5 - 1 min rest between. It wasn't a big difference, but the warm-up was more intense. Run backwards on a slope which would be a black slope in Alpine Skiing is pretty tough. I was tired after that. I saved some energy for the intervals which was the main thing for the evening.
I love the sauna in the clubhouse. 90°c.

The second running was Lunnarundan. I have said that it is 8.95 km. I draw the round again and got 9,04 km.
Yea yea it is only 0,09 km difference, about 100m, but I want an accurate average tempo. It feels also weird to run the same round with different distances. So now I will use 9,04 km if I can't get an exactly distance.
Anyways....
I didn't feel Göteborgsvarvs ready, but it felt alright. I hoped to beat my season best, which I did. 41 min and 35 s. Average tempo 4 min, 36 s. 1h, 37s would be the time on Göteborgsvarvet if I can keep this pace all the 21 km. So it feels good.
I have to run double so fast to compete with the elite. :)

Slottskogen this evening with the YSAs. Brännboll, grilling and chilling. Will be nice. :p

It is also one week until Elder Max Månhammar comes home from his mission in the London South.
Looking forward to see him again after about 3 years.

Rabbin good! Hare bra. Have a good day!
